Is there Such a Thing as Instant Success?

"The best preparation for good work tomorrow is good work today." - Elbert Hubbard

The most frustrating thing that you can feel is to want something really badly, and not be able to get it straight away.

Yes, frustrating – but is it realistic to want something straight away?

Many people will tell you yes it is. You just have to type “instant success” in Google, and look at the headlines: Everyone promises to deliver you instant success.

And when it comes to products being sold, you are expected to buy it instantly too.

We live in an “instant” society. Anything we want can be delivered right now, and you start expecting things you want instantly too. Most people are expecting their wants to be delivered instantly. When they want it, they want it NOW!

Most people give up on their wants if they can’t get it instantly. It is becoming increasingly rate to find people who are willing to put in the time or effort required to get the success they want. They are after instant gratification.

This is how we’ve been taught, and we see it as our right.

Now, this is your right: It's your right to have the same opportunity to work for what you want.  You have to sacrifice to reach your dreams just like every other person who ever lived.

Your right is not instant gratification, but working for what you want. Have you ever heard the saying:  “God helps those who help themselves?” You are not helping yourself if you are after instant gratification. You are hurting yourself.  Instant gratification does not help you to grow, it does not give you any satisfaction, and it only keeps you contented. Setting and reaching goals, and taking the time to do so, gives you immense pleasure.

So take time to have the things you want. Set goals, and find out what to do to achieve them. No-one is lucky that way. Luck takes work.

Put the effort in today and you'll get luckier and luckier.  Will you reach your goal immediately?  Probably not.  Anything worth having takes time and effort. Nothing falls into your lap.

You can’t put tomorrow before today.

So set those goals. Be all you can be.

How to Break Through To Success

Author unknown

The article below I got from a friend, and although it talks about online success, it can really be applied to success in general:

Are You One of the 98% Having Difficulty Achieving Online Success? - Or One of the 2% who enjoys online success and always seems to 'get paid '?

If you haven't even recognized your plight before, keep reading - because the following information could help you transform your life! Read on..... How good would it be if you discovered today that just through reading this article you've found what is possibly the best way in the whole world to join the 2% who win big and enjoy online success? First of all, lets look at some of the features of the two different groups in question- the 92% who fail and the 2% who don't! Over time, studies show us the following results:

The '2 Percenters':
  • Just like you, its most likely that the '2% ' have reasonably functional brains and hands and fingers they can manipulate to do things.
  • They're typically very good at doing the best for themselves and are generally already on a path that makes success possible or even guarantees their success!
  • From a psychological perspective, either the 2% have recovered from the damage inflicted on them by their parents and teachers, or they weren't damaged too severely.
The '98 percenters':
  • Typically, the 98% are on a path that makes success difficult perhaps impossible even.Typically, the 98% have not recovered from the damage inflicted on them during their early life and If you're among the 98%, it's possible that you've been damaged to the extent that there's no reasonable hope of recovery.
  • This group suffers from not having acquired certain pivotal skills, keeping them stuck at low levels of incompetence, mediocrity, and failure. There are certain factors that BLOCK their success -- and they don't have the pivotal skills required to remove such blocks.
  • If you consider yourself to be among the 98%, your first challenge is to find out if there's a possibility that you can learn to use your brain, hands, and fingers well enough to succeed. Try this free study session - You can learn much more about this aspect and receive excellent free information.(see link below)
Your second challenge is to CHANGE DIRECTION and SHIFT TO A DIFFERENT PATH where you can learn to use your brain, hands, and fingers well enough to succeed. Do You know these 7 steps to becoming a '2 percenter '?

1. Recognition of where you're at - If you're reading this chances are you're a 2 percenter looking for direction. So do something about that.
  • Look in the mirror, take a good look into your reflection - look yourself in the eye and ask the question "Am I prepared to do what it takes to change?"
  • Make a decision and a commitment to do whatever it takes and start today! You might begin with seeking out Daily Messages and motivational and inspirational sayings which help energize you as you set about your daily activities: for example, Abe Lincoln was believed to have said," If I had six hours to chop down a tree, I'd spend the first 4 hours sharpening the axe!
"Achievements are the accomplishment of persistent individuals." James Jones

 2. Discover the Missing Success Factors:

  • the "Unstoppable Success Secret" and the "Stuckistic Breakthrough" - that makes online success inevitable.

  • Decide what's important in your life - example: Maintaining your own Good Health is vital! Without good health you may not find suitable employment or even be able to perform some simple actions to better your position.
  • Consider your 'Spiritual needs' - feeling good about yourself and understanding your relationship with God or your spiritual beliefs.
  • Harmonious Relationships - involve your partner / friend to share your thoughts, provide you with help and advice when you need another point of view.
  • Develop a routine - a foundation of daily activities designed to ensure you're heading in the right direction each day. Consider this your 'Road Map'!
5. Maintain your good health and wellness.
  • If you find yourself spending hours upon hours sitting at your desk 'working' online - STOP!
  • Take a break with simple exercise go out meet people,
  • Talk to people and walk to get your blood flowing around your body again - then come back refreshed and resume your efforts.
6 Set Goals - "A dollar a day"

  • At the very basic level, this is one very practical philosophy that works very well and brings immediate tangible results- most important from a motivational point of view!
  • Before you spend a dollar ask yourself, "Do I need to buy this?" or "Can I find another, less expensive solution that will get me the same or better result?" You may be surprised how much you can achieve and money you can save using this simple method.
7. Monitor your progress and talk to people - Find out what works for them!
  • Looking at item 6 above - At the end of each day sum up the savings you've made and give yourself a pat on the back!
  • Seek out any people you regards as being '2 Per-centers' and ask them for advice, tips and tricks.
  • Attend forums online, join business meetings in your area - there's often several small groups in any community who'll share their knowledge and know-how - you just have to seek them out.
Summary. What all this should be saying to you is this. "You are either STUCK, or UNSTOPPABLE, or somewhere in between these two extremes!" It's essential to recognize WHERE you are in order to be able to determine what you have to do to get where you want to be! With a little focus and help you can acquire the Pivotal Skill that enables you to view and examine the origins of the blocks that have kept you stuck and prevented you from achieving online success.

Our Past Limits Us

By Hannah du Plessis

“Impossible is a word from the dictionary of fools!” - Napoleon Bonaparte

We judge our capability by our past performance. In this way our past plays a powerful role in limiting us because we use the past as a gauge of what we will be able to do in the future.

So often past failures are seen as the final authority for determining that our future is doomed to failure as well. Don't fall into this trap. Millions have failed, tried again and then achieved. You too have had failures that you turned into successes.

We all have achieved certain things in our lives. Academic achievements, sports achievements, career achievements. Yet often we do not interpret these accomplishments the way we should. We forget them and consider them unimportant. Your past accomplishments are proof that you can do more. Great things have already been achieved, and they indicate that you will still be able to do more in the future. You are older, smarter
and wiser.

Failures simply indicate that either, you still needed to learn some things, or that you were attempting to achieve something that was not part of your purpose at that time.

Don't judge your future by your past.

You have accomplished much. These are proof that you can do more.

Past experience also includes what we’ve been taught. Without realizing it, we were being brainwashed into believing a lie about who we are and what we can do.

You can't be more than what you believe you are.

Yet we have believed the lies and therefore find it hard to believe the truth. We have been programmed like a computer. But one can't just delete the programme, as on a computer. One has to reject the lies and re-programme one's mind with the truth.

The truth is that you are awesome, like an eagle: Intelligent, beautiful, strong, resourceful, courageous, tough. You are able to soar above the circumstances and achieve beyond your limits.

Undo what you have heard by repeating the opposite to yourself. Einstein said that it takes 11 positives to undo one negative. That means we need to repeat 1,63 million positives to undo the negatives that we have heard in our childhood.

Say things like:
I am brilliant
I am a Winner
I can do anything
I can be financially free
I can do the impossible

Identify what others have said about you and your abilities, which may be holding you back.
Reject the powerful lies one by one.

What lies have you believed?

You can do anything. Plan it. Take your time, you'll get it right.

Limits? What Limits?

"Know your limits, then ignore them." - John Mason

We all have limits. However, we always seem to break our limitations. Every time we learn and apply a new skill, we break a limit we used to have.

Sometimes we convince ourselves that something can’t be done. The bigger the task, the more time consuming, the more complicate, the more we are daunted by it.

Our limits tend to be fear or comfort. First, we are afraid of failure and don’t like the idea of working long hard hours to reach a goal just to have it fail. So fear of failure stops us from doing. We have unlimited potential. We can literally do anything we set our minds on.

The sad reality is that we believe ourselves to be limited and don't release the power that is inside of us.

We allow things to put a lid on our potential.

People say all sorts of negative things to us about what we can and can't do. And we believe them. They can be so negative when we tell them what we want to accomplish. Especially those closest to us. Sometimes they label us. Authority figures in our lives have limited us by what they have said and how they have treated us.

How have others limited your potential by their labels or 'assurance' that "you could never do it"? Make a decision to reject their "authority". Who knows what is still in you? How can anyone possibly know what you can or cannot do?

Others may suffocate our potential by being negative or discouraging us. They are like invisible chains that hold us back. They are like stumbling blocks in our strive to be all we can be. Don’t spend any time with these people. Find friends who encourage you to be better and to achieve more. Unfortunately there are few friends who can regularly do that for us.  for us. That is one of the main reasons why I have started this blog. We need that encouragement and inspiration to be all we can be.

Take a score of your friends and acquaintances: Who can you spend more time with? Who should you stay away from?

Spend more time with people who will build you up and encourage you to be all that you can be.

Who would that be for you?

Spend more time reading about how you can succeed.
