How Do You See The World?

Hannah du Plessis

"And how will I speak? I will laud my enemies and they will become friends; I will encourage my friends and they will become brothers.  Always will I look for reasons to applaud; never will I scratch for excuses to gossip. When I am tempted to criticize, I will bite my tongue; when I am moved to praise, I will shout from the roofs. If I have no other qualities, I can succeed with love alone.  Without it I will fail though I possess all the knowledge and skills in the world." - Og Mandino

When you meet someone for the first time do you look for things to judge or criticise or do you see things you can admire or compliment?

You can be sure that you'll find what you're looking for.

Whatever it is that you are looking for, that will reflect right back at you. If you look at others negatively, you will in turn be viewed negatively by others.

This is why you should view others with love in your heart, and deliberately look for the good in them. You will make friends that will trust you and do business with you.

So instead of doing things with dollar signs in your eyes, just focus on the friends you are making. When your new friends feel valued by you, guess who they will do business with? Would you rather do business with someone who just wants your money, or would you prefer doing business with a friend who values you?

You can't do any business effectively if you have contempt and dislike for other people or if your own best interests come first.

Focus today on another person. And see how that person responds to you.

And remember what the Good Book says: “Love others as you love yourself” – for if you can’t look for and acknowledge the good in yourself, how can you look for it in others?

Take this lesson to heart, and be all you can be!

Will You make an Impact in Life that Lasts After You’ve Gone?

By Hannah du Plessis

“What we do in life, echoes in eternity.
Maximus Decimus Meridias; Roman general from the film "Gladiator" (2000)

Will you make a difference to the world during your lifetime?

How many people will be touched by your thoughts and actions?

Will the things that you have done continue to live after you are physically gone?

It is uplifting to read true stories or watch movies about people who have had such a profound impact on others so that they are remembered long after they’ve gone.

Do you have a passion or idea on how you can help a lot of people improve their lives? If so, you need to do something about it. Remember, everything you do will ring in eternity.  If you can help humanity in some way and you don’t, it could affect people for many centuries to come.

So you owe it not only to yourself, but also to the future of your family, your friends and the entire human race to grow and share all your gifts. Maybe your gifts and skills are modest, but to hide them, to not develop and share them, whatever they are would be a great tragedy.

In the words of the 28th president of the US, Woodrow Wilson: "You are not here merely to make a living.  You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement.  You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget that errand."

So ask yourself this today:

"What can I do to best help the largest number of people?  Why should I?"

Harness Your Point Of Attraction

By Dr Robert Anthony

"When you can embrace all of life, not holding onto anything
beyond its time and not avoiding it once its time has come, you
will know the meaning of Freedom." - Unknown

The dictionary defines Freedom as; "The quality or state of being
free; the absence of necessity, coercion or constraint in choice
or action; liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power
of another."

How would you define Freedom for yourself? It strikes me that much
of what the Secret of Deliberate Program teaches you is how to set
yourself free - free from your stories, free from your past, free
from "shoulds", free from need.

I talk repeatedly in the course about choice. You cannot control
the circumstances or people around you, but you can always choose
how you react to them. Much of what is difficult about difficult
situations, is not the situation itself, but how you react to it.
Have you ever made a situation worse by overreacting? What if you
had kept from getting knocked off balance by what was happening,
would that have changed anything?

The goal of Deliberate Creation is to be able to consciously set
your Point of Attraction. That means that how you feel is not
dependent upon external circumstances. It is not dependent upon
your mate doing the dishes or your child picking up his room or
your friend calling you or who wins the election. Your Point of
Attraction is determined solely by you, by what you believe, think,
expect and feel. No one and nothing else is ever to blame - ever.
No one makes you unhappy - you do that. No one can make you
happy - only you can do that. It's your choice - always.

When you can stay centered and balanced no matter what is going on
around you - when you can consciously choose instead of letting
circumstance dictate how you feel - then you have got ("groked"
for those of you who remember Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange
Land") how to consciously create your life.

I think the quote above sums it up quite eloquently. If we are
truly letting all of life in, without judgment, without labels,
embracing all of it, not clutching at what is no longer ours nor
pushing away what is, then we truly are free.

As you go about your day today see in what ways you can set
yourself free.

Create Your future.

You Are Totally Unique

By Hannah du Plessis

"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You." Dr. Seuss

You are totally unique.

That’s right; there is no one else like you on this planet. You are totally unique.

Have you ever met anyone that is just like you? I mean exactly like you: Your hopes and dreams, your likes and dislikes, your physical appearance: eye colour, hair colour. No, even identical twins are not 100% similar. If you ask them, they will tell you how they are different. There will be something somewhere; a preference, a mark, a slight variation in colour.

If you look even further, we have different fingerprints, different retina patterns, different DNA, our talents and what motivates us. Each of us an individual masterpiece created totally unique by the Creator.

If you look at psychometric testing: Each test gives different results: Each one gives different preferences, shows how we are motivated, shows different talents and gifts, each one unique, each one a masterpiece.

Is it surprising then that we want different jobs, and even if the job is the same, like a nurse or a teacher, we do it in a different way. No two exactly the same. Your best friend may be excellent at doing admin work. You may be better at working with your hands. I know I thrive on challenges, so I am excellent at sales and marketing. But my best friend is different; she likes to have a job where she is creative in a quiet, peaceful way. No two people have exactly the same preferences or do things exactly the same way.

Your potential, which is really a combination of your gifts and talents, describes in detail who you are. It is so detailed that it defines precisely how you are unique.

Just think: How many people have the talent to be able to do a heart operation, or build a rocket that works from scratch? How many people have the talents to be able to find the cure for a disease?

This is only one gift or talent. However, most people have more than two things they are excellent at. If you have any unique gift, that gift puts you in the top 1% of the population for that gift, and when you speak about odds like that, when you add more of your talents or gifts the odds of others having the same can increase to one in ten billion. There aren’t even that many people on earth.

You Are Your Own Enemy

by Hannah du Plessis

"Our duty as men and women is to proceed as if limits to our ability do not exist"- Pierre de Chardin

Yesterday we discussed how what others say and do can limit us. Today, we look at how we can harm ourselves.

Your own self-talk - your thoughts - can limit you. Don’t limit yourself by what you think and say. Keep your thoughts positive. When you think a negative thought, quickly find something to be grateful for and replace it with that thought. Don’t choke your own creativity by thinking negatively.

Don’t doubt yourself because it holds you back. Don’t be afraid of taking risks because what is the worst that could happen: you’ll fail and learn something?

William Shakespeare said: “Our doubts are traitors which tempt us to lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt."

Werner von Braun was one of the scientists responsible for developing the propulsion systems of rockets that got the first satellite into space and the first man on the moon. He said: "Man belongs where man wants to go"

What does that tell you about limits? There are none!!!

Do you want to change your world? Do you want to change your income, your marriage, your level of happiness? Then take the word "impossible" out of your vocabulary.

Everything is possible!!

You live according to what you believe, and you will believe that which you repeat to yourself.

Speak the truth:
  • Today I will have an incredible day
  • I am a Winner and have a winning attitude.
  • Today I will work hard and put in massive action.
  • I will do what others are not willing to do.
  • I will persevere with enthusiasm and determination.
  • I will plan, and reach my goals. Everything is possible.
  • I have unlimited potential. I will live with passion throughout this day
  • I'll do what it takes.
  • I will embrace my opportunities to learn, grow, help, and love people.
  • I will persevere against all odds.
  • I will succeed!
Write out your own self-talk that you can read to yourself every morning.

Break through to success!

You Can Do Anything

By Hannah du Plessis

"Man belongs where man wants to go" - Werner Von Braun

How many times have you said to yourself that you couldn't do something? That something is too difficult to accomplish? That something is impossible to do? That something could never work?

What comes to my mind when I hear that something is "impossible" is the Wright brothers who were trying to fly. People laughed at them and told them humans can't fly it's impossible. They were laughed at and ridiculed. Until they built something that worked.... and they could fly.

What do you do when someone tells you that you can't do something. Do you listen to them?

Negative self talk and listening to negative comments and advice from others are limiting you. Man has no limits. We can accomplish anything we set our minds to. We can do anything and go anywhere.

Believe in yourself.  Believe in your dreams.

You are invincible!
